For your full-day Yarra Valley Wine Tour from Melbourne you will be picked up from the designated pick-up point that is closest to where you are staying. For this tour, you will travel in a deluxe coach and an expert guide will accompany you.
At around 10am, you will depart from the final pick up point for Yarra Valley. The journey takes just under an hour.
The Yarra Valley is internationally recognised as one of Australia's leading wine producing regions, famous for its cool climate masterpieces. Your first stop is at Yering Farm, one of the Yarra Valley’s boutique wineries. It has stunning views and is oozing with rustic charm. Try wines made with traditional methods in their cellar door, which showcases antique copper wine making tools used by pioneer wine makers.
The next stop, around 12 noon, is at Balgownie Estate. Here you can indulge in a guided tasting session at Balgownie Estate tasting table. Make your selection of wine for lunch and take your complimentary glass of wine to the restaurant with its magnificent vineyard views. Lunch includes a main course, a glass of Rochford wine and tea or coffee.
After lunch you will travel to Steels Gate Wines. The enthusiastic and knowledgeable cellar door staff will share with you some of award winning wines. This winery has a rich history and is the ideal place to sample a selection of exciting wines that reflect the earthiness and personality of the Yarra Valley. The wines here speak for themselves but we will let you be the judge.
End the day with a visit to Domaine Chandon, the Australian production house of the French Champagne company Moet & Chandon. Domaine Chandon is dedicated to the production of méthode traditionnelle sparkling wine and premium quality, cool-climate still wines. Enjoy a special guided tour through the winery and learn about the process of making sparkling wine.
At around 3:30pm, you will depart the Yarra Valley for Melbourne, arriving in the city at around 4:30pm. You will be dropped off at the point where you were picked up.
The confirmation voucher includes the local activity operator’s contact details. They’re a nice bunch, and will happily answer any logistical questions you may have. Please give them a call at least 24 hours before your organised activity to reconfirm.
Voucher information: No need to print! You can show your voucher on your smartphone or other devices. (But if you’d rather print a copy – that’s fine too!)
The local tour operator does not carry child safety seats on board and does not have appropriate fixtures to secure such seats. Parents and guardians of children under the age of 12 years must sign a "waiver of responsibility" for the safety of the child whilst on the bus. This waiver releases the local supplier from responsibility for the child's safety whilst on its vehicles. This document must be signed prior to departure of tour.
This activity is adults (and older children) only. Little ones under the age of 5 years will have to sit this one out, we’re afraid.
The vehicles for this tour are licensed to seat a maximum of 24 passengers.
